Comprehensive examinations are advised AT LEAST yearly to search for medical conditions that may not be obvious to owners. During a comprehensive examination, the vet doctor will examine your pet's eyes, ears, skin, and hair coat, listen to their hearts, and discuss any concerns you may have.
Yes, yes! Both mosquitoes and fleas are present year round across Africa, but particularly in the Nigeria, where temperatures have remained warm for most of the year. The occurrence of heartworm in this area is still very high, making heartworm prevention a priority year round.
There are a lot of great brands out there. Those that we recommend are based on years of results. While it is very acceptable to feed your dog a pure kibble and canned food diet. you can also mix their diet up with some cooked meat(Beef or Poultry, No Bones), fish(No Bones), and non-salted boiled rice. Occasionally, prescription diets are prescribed based on the particular needs of the pet. Our veterinarians will make these recommendations as needed.
